I love reading your words. Praying you feel His peace as you take these next steps. Also, that series you referenced about sounds like something I would like to read one day 😉

I’m really rooting for you and your family over here (also in MA!) So glad you are staying here in this space on substack.

I agree with you that social media can be a tricky place to exist. But I think you may also feel healthier taking a break from the noise of IG. Looking forward to what’s next! 💛

This is such a hard but wise decision! Once our financial situation is better I will be suscribing because I will miss our ig dm chats!

I'm praying for your journey! Recently I came across a thought, influenced by Psalm 4:8. I have always been a hard worker. I love leaving it all out there and pushing through. I am gritty and tough. But I've never heard the Lord tell me to work harder. I've never felt called to be grittier and sweat more, stress more, or hustle more. I've been called to have greater faith, to pray more, to trust Him. The tools I'd say are important, like sweat equity, are valuable, but they aren't the tools He uses for the best of what He leads me to. So there's a little thought for you in navigating what He has called you to do without the social media hype. While those are the tools YOU think helpful, maybe they aren't the tools God will use to share your work. :) Blessings to you and your time with your family!

So proud of you for taking this next step out of obedience with your confidence on the God who is calling you. Don't look back; you won't regret it👏 For what it's worth, I stepped away from social media (four months sober, baby)...and had my best book launch ever. It's like God is bigger than all the alleged requirements our culture has put on us😏

So many things... first, well done!

Thats a great painting! Definitely not horrible!

Your words give me hope. The whole doing/creating something you’ve never done before.

What a beautiful picture of hope.

And I too am “praying for the Lord to surprise you all gently along the way.”

He is truly is so faithful. ❤️

A courageous decision. Thanks for sharing. It's inspired me to look at what I need to prune back to refocus my energy and meet my children's increased needs.

You might be my favorite Substack. I read your book at just the right time in my life. When everything was going to hell, loss was surrounding me, and I did NOT want to hear the trite Christian phrases we toss around. Your book was real and honest. Thank you for that! Also...can't imagine the difficulty of the choices you are making...as a twin mom I know that I've never regretted making choices that centered around putting my boys first...what you're doing is beautiful AND hard. Will be following your journey!

Excited for this new journey you're embarking on: The (Temporary) Unknown! Been there. It's scary but it's also exciting. God does His best work when we don't know what's coming next, I think. It gives us a chance to just trust unabashedly (because we can't really do or control anything else). He's gonna cook! :)

It was not 100% through social media--I heard about your book on substack, if that feels encouraging at all! :) Sounds like the right decision for you!

I hope you find your focused time on Substack to be a sweet and safe place to land. It’s been that for me. Such a nice shift from the constant noise of social media. 😌

Also, your painting!!! What a delight.
