Such a lovely game! We need to get that one out to play again. We've been focusing more on games the kids can play with us and this one is just out of reach for them. It's really not difficult to play. I recommend finding a video to teach you. We taught some friends and they beat us their first game. Enjoy!

Wingspan is an absolutely delightful game! We hated learning to play (the rulebook is SO confusing- YouTube videos saved it) but we absolutely love it now!

Love this! I'm all for cozy vests and pretty-fying my space. I set up twinkle lights in the corner of my living room and plug that in most days. Then I put a hobbit fireplace on my TV by using YouTube

Just another plug for Wingspan. We used the "quickstart" guides which were... fine... but it was really the second game we played where we decided it was the bomb. Our 11-year-old learned with us, and now we enjoy it regularly. It really is the perfect cozy game for a grody winter afternoon!

Wingspan has been my happy game getting me through this winter. It's really the best! The watercolor game boards, the notes about the birds at the bottom of the cards (the texture of the cards!), the weight and colors of the eggs, the lovely soundtrack (yes, the board game has a soundtrack!) you can listen to while you play. . . It's the best. And the expansions add a lot. But even without the expansions, the base game is a joy to play and our 9 year-old is able to play along now.
